In a bid to promote systemic transformation in the Philippines, Lifebank Microfinance Foundation (LBMF) launched a first-of-its-kind proposal writing workshop entitled Nurturing Entrepreneurs for Society (NES). NES was designed to walk participants through the proposal writing and submission process adhered to by the organization. It also introduced LBMF’s selection criteria and priority areas for funding. By allowing participants access to these information, LBMF hopes to receive more proposals from visionary individuals who want to create a better society through innovative ideas.
The proposal writing workshop was held at the Center for Bayanihan Economics in Angat, Bulacan last November 22-24, 2019. It was facilitated by Nicanor Perlas and Vice President for Social for Sustainable Development Programs Ms. Dinah Bohol. The workshop was attended by 15 participants, some of whom are educators, artists, social entrepreneurs, and initiators of eco-villages.
LBMF is planning for a second run of NES in the early part of 2020.
