Bread of Freedom
The Bread of Freedom is a living community that yearns for change within our corporate-controlled food system driven by chemical-based industrialized agriculture practices. The facebook group was created after the Bread of Freedom: World Food Day Celebration event in October 2019. It hopes to continue thhe conversation about the food crisis that we face caused by deeply embedded structures in our society that create separation from nature.
The platform hopes to inspire all the diverse voices to connect and collaborate with various networks in coming up with meaningful food advocacy-related projects and campaigns in their communities to help create living LOCAL economies that nourish, heal, and give back to the Earth.
Bread of Freedom was co-initiated by Chef Audette Villaraza. Chef Villaraza’s signature course, Ecology of Food is a multi-dimensional nutrition course that takes the participants on a journey of understanding how food evolved, where it comes from, and how one can build resilience through an organic, local, and biodiverse diet.
